How should I start an account with SG e-Auction?

What documents should I submit when I register?

For verification purposes, SG e-Auction will require a copy of your company’s registration certification and license for sale of second hand goods.

Before Auction

What should I do before I send the items over?

Upon registration, SG e-Auction will send a welcome pack to each member. Each welcome pack will include an instruction sheet and QR item tags. Sellers will need to tag each item with the QR item tag provided before logging in to the SG e-Auction system to key in all the items for auction.

How can I request for more item tags?

Should you require replenishment of item tags, simply log into your SG e-Auction account, and under the “Membership” tab, click on “Requests” followed by “Item Tags”. The item tags will be mailed to you within 7 working days.

When is the online auction conducted?

The online auction will be held every alternate Wednesday at 10am sharp.

How many times can I auction my item?

If your item is not sold at the first auction, you may choose to list the item for a further two consecutive auctions.

How are the merchandise authenticated?

All items received at SG e-Auction go through a stringent authentication process. We carefully examine the material of the items, the workmanship and finishing; and the style and material of the labels. All items are guaranteed authentic before it is listed on SG e-Auction.

How are the items being graded?

SG e-Auction has a team of experienced inspectors who meticulously scrutinize each aspect of the item and assess the quality with a strict grading process.

Q: Why is my item being returned?

The item did not pass the inspection and / or grading process.

Shipping

How long in advance should I send my items over?

All items should reach SG e-Auction at least 7 working days before each pre-bid exercise. Upon receipt of your items, consignment status of your shipment will be updated. Each item will be authenticated and graded before listing it on SG e-Auction.

Are there any recommended courier companies?

SG e-Auction is happy to work with any of your preferred courier company. We recommend that you include sufficient insurance in your shipment request to protect your purchase.

Can I opt for self-collection?

Kindly make an appointment with SG e-Auction for a seamless self-collection.

Payment

How will I receive the payment?

All payments will be made in SGD to your designated bank account via Telegraphic Transfer or bank transfer.

When can I receive the payment from buyers?

SG e-Auction will pay to your designated account within 7 working days from the receipt of the buyer’s payment.

When can I start bidding?

The pre-bid exercise begins on Saturday, 12pm to Tuesday, 12pm preceding the auction. Live bidding will be conducted on alternate Wednesdays, 10am sharp. Once the auction is over, you will be notified if you are the highest bidder.

What is pre-bidding?

Pre-bidding allows you get in on the auction ahead of the live bidding. If you are unable to participate in the live auction, simply state the maximum amount that you are willing to pay for the item and SG e-Auction will assist you in the live bidding auction.

How does live bidding work?

Through SG e-Auction, you can experience the excitement of bidding in live auction from the comfort of your home. You can place a pre-bid before the auction commences or join the live auction bidding.

Can I increase my credit limit?

Members may apply for a credit limit increase, subject to approval by SG e-Auction.

What is credit limit?

The credit limit is the maximum total amount that a member can bid for in an auction. It is important to note that the credit limit will be reduced accordingly if there is any payment in arrears.

What’s the return policy?

SG e-Auction takes great pride in its reputation for quality and excellent value. If an item is found to be counterfeit, please contact SG e-Auction at enquiry@sgeauction.com within 3 weeks from the auction date.

Are my merchandises being covered with insurance?

All items shipped via SG e-Auction’s preferred courier company will be covered by full insurance.

Can I opt for self-collection?
